Chefim processes your ingredient data and recipe preferences locally on your device. Your personal cooking information is kept private and secure.

This privacy policy applies to the Chefim app (hereby referred to as "Application") for iOS and macOS devices that was created by Cihat SALIK (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Chefim uses your device's camera to help identify ingredients in your kitchen. All image processing and AI recognition happens locally on your device - no photos are ever uploaded to external servers.

When you use Chefim's ingredient recognition features:

• Ingredient photos are processed locally and not stored permanently

• Only ingredient names and quantities are saved to your virtual kitchen

• All data remains on your device and syncs through iCloud if enabled

• You can manually edit or delete any ingredient data at any time

• No analysis or profiling is performed on your eating habits

Chefim uses your available ingredients and dietary preferences to suggest personalized recipes. All recipe matching and recommendations are processed locally on your device.

The app may store your cooking preferences to improve recommendations:

• Dietary restrictions and allergies (stored locally)

• Favorite cuisines and cooking styles

• Recipe ratings and feedback

• Cooking difficulty preferences

Chefim may collect basic technical information to improve app functionality and provide better recipe recommendations:

• Device information (iOS/macOS version, device model for compatibility)

• App usage statistics (features used, anonymized usage patterns)

• Recipe database interactions (popular recipes, anonymized)

• Crash reports and performance metrics (if you opt-in)

The Application does not collect location information, personal photos, or detailed dietary information beyond what you voluntarily input. The Service Provider may use this technical information to improve the app and contact you about important updates.

Your personal ingredient data, recipes, and cooking preferences are never shared with third parties. Only anonymized, aggregated usage data may be shared to improve recipe recommendations.

The Service Provider may disclose non-personal technical information only:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

• when necessary to protect rights, safety, or investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

• with trusted service providers for recipe database management who have agreed to strict confidentiality rules.

Your ingredient lists, dietary restrictions, and personal cooking data are never shared with anyone.

Your cooking data in Chefim is stored locally on your device and may sync through iCloud if you enable it:

• Virtual kitchen inventory stored locally on your device

• Recipe favorites and cooking history saved locally

• Dietary preferences and restrictions stored on device

• Optional iCloud sync for data backup and device sync

You can clear all your data by deleting the app or using the "Reset Data" option in app settings. If you'd like us to delete any technical data we may have collected, please contact us at cihatsalik1@gmail.com.

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application through standard iOS/macOS processes. You can also disable specific features like camera access, iCloud sync, or analytics in the app settings or device privacy settings.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Chefim is designed for general cooking assistance and does not target children specifically.

Parents should supervise children's use of cooking apps and camera features. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Chefim, please contact us at cihatsalik1@gmail.com. Users must be at least 16 years of age to consent to data processing.

The Service Provider is committed to protecting your cooking data and privacy. We use industry-standard security measures to protect any technical information we collect. Your personal ingredient and recipe data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's security features.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating this page and the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any changes.

By using Chefim, you consent to the local storage of your cooking data on your device, optional iCloud sync if enabled, and the minimal technical data collection described in this Privacy Policy.
